Squash the Patriarchy
The day after Roe got overturned, I already had a party at my place planned. I ended up titling the river float cocktail “Smash the Patriarchy Pineapple Punch.” Some party goers suggested “Punch the Patriarchy,” I knew we were close to a good pun with this one.
A coworker brought garden squash to the office to give away, I took one home and drew it in my sketchbook. Suddenly, “Squash the Patriarchy” came to mind. This concluded what I thought would be the final sticker in the “My Choice” launch.
Women deserve a choice when it comes to their health and autonomy. Feminist art is my way of expressing myself and encouraging others in the process.
